Did you know that the 12 days of Christmas originated from the 12 days of Yule?! Yule is a pagan tradition of celebrating the Winter Solstice, the shortest day and longest night of the year. It's linked to the Scandinavian Norse and Germanic People.
Celebrated very much like the modern New Year, where we reflect and find gratitude for the previous year and set our intentions for the year to come.
According to Western Astrology, Capricorn Season in the Northern Hemisphere always coincides with the Winter Solstice and the official beginning of Winter. Making it our Cardinal Earth sign. Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) align with the onset of natural seasons, so they tend to be go-getters, self-starters, and leaders. And if you know a Capricorn, they are most likely a boss, very independent, and they get shit done.
Capricorn is represented by the Sea Goat; they are grounded yet adaptable. Their ruling planet is Saturn, making them practical and have follow-through, but piss them off, and they can read you to filth.
Their energy aligns with The Devil in the Tarot, meaning they can play just as hard as they work and must be aware of their vices so they aren't ruled by them.
Capricorn Season focuses on our personal infrastructure and highlights our responsibilities to ourselves, each other, and the world.
We start inside Mercury Retrograde this year, so give yourself patience and grace. This is a time to recognize your resources and capabilities, wrap up projects, and prepare for the new year.
January 1st, Yule will come to a close, and Mercury will station direct. Capricorn Season ends on the morning of January 20th.
I'm wishing you a very magical and bright season!
