Remembering My Brother

Today is my brother in spirit, Kai's birthday: My most prominent Gemini teacher! He taught me so much in his 26 and a half years and continues to teach me in spirit. In true Gemini fashion, he showed some of the best of times and some of the worst. ⁠

He's the reason I committed to fully pursuing my psychic medium gifts. I had one foot in the door until he crossed over, and he showed me I could no longer deny my skills and experiences. ⁠

I've learned to trust the signs! Just one example. On my first day at Shining Lotus, two different people came in, named Kai.⁠ He even showed many of his friends that there is something beyond this life by sending so many of them signs he was still with them. ⁠

He is always with me when I need him, and I'm so proud to see that he's still there for everyone he loved in life.⁠ Every year we celebrate him by eating his favorite food and doing something fun! Because even though my brother struggled in this life, he knew how to have a good time!⁠

⁠And this year, I think he's helping the Nuggets win the NBA Finals. Kai could play any sport, basketball was his #1, and he was really good at it.⁠

After he passed, I used to say I could easily go the rest of my life without watching another basketball game; I have seen more than enough.⁠ Well, I'm sure Kai is thoroughly enjoying watching me eat crow because I have been thoroughly enjoying watching the Nuggets win!⁠

These Nuggets have re-ignited my appreciation for the sport. And I've never seen another male major league team deserve it more. From the coaches to the player, they are so humble, hardworking, and the definition of a Team. No Lebron needed!⁠

⁠The sign confirming that he was helping was right after they swept the Western Conference finals was the first time I heard the date of game 1 of The Finals.⁠

⁠Today, June 1st, his birthday.⁠

It's just all too serendipitous to be just a coincidence.⁠

⁠So we'll be eating wings and watching the game. Enjoying something he would love so much makes the grief of losing him so much lighter. It brings more smiles than tears. ⁠
