V - The Hierophant

Taurus Season 05.19.2023

I made this a few weeks ago, and then I got so sick I could barely think, so I'm playing a little catch-up. But I really wanted to share this with you because 1. I'm a huge Lizzo fan and could not leave the season without talking about the Taurus Queen! And 2. I feel The Hierophant can benefit all of us!⁠

I can't quite remember where I heard her say this. I think it was on Hot Ones on YouTube, but the minute I heard it, I wrote it down, and it's been visible in my office ever since.⁠

And it's a great way to view how The Hierophant represents Taurus in the Tarot.⁠

The Hierophant this year showed me a new side of itself. The part of being a fair and just leader or system. The need to take care of ourselves and each other. There is a need for systems and organizations to value the people they support and allow them the resources and empowerment to value themselves.

Unfortunately, this blog post was lost in the transition to the new site in September. And between that time, I’m sure you’ve seen that some information and a lawsuit came to light against Lizzo.

This news was disappointing and disheartening because Lizzo’s message of self-love has been so close to my heart and aligned with my purpose. Although we will never know what happened behind closed doors, and there has been no final judgment in this case as I’m writing this 10.05.2023.

It should go without saying, but I feel I must; Meryl’s Mystic doesn’t condone leaders who use their power to create hostile working environments. We value safety and autonomy above all else. I hope this issue gets resolved and the victims receive the support they need.

Either way, this spread aligns with the benevolent side of The Hierophant.
